Job Description

Will be based within a Sheffield city centre based mobility shop, which hires out scooters and wheelchairs to customers with mobility problems.  Duties will include serving customers, answering phones, questions and queries, dealing with daily questions and problems.

Training:  Customer Service Apprenticeship.  The learning provider is TAGadvance.

Hours:  Minimum of 30 hours/week over 5 days.  The shop opens Mon – Sat.

Pay:  £2.73/hour.

Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of Sheffield's vibrant, established and successful businesses, located in S1.  As part of a team you will offer customer service support across the city region communicating by telephone with an established base of customers, promoting services whilst developing and maintaining customer relationships.  Key responsibilities are communicating effectively with customers by telephone, promoting products and service, keeping record and working in a team.  Will develop a good and effective knowledge of the further education training products - a focus on apprenticeships, the eligibility criteria, delivery methods and the ideal surroundings where apprentices can flourish.  Reporting to the Sales Manager with excellent workplace support and mentoring will be given. Please note: this role will not involve cold calling, you will be dealing with an already established base of customers and employers.


Training:  Customer Service Intermediate Level Apprenticeship. The learning provider is Sheffield College. Possibility of progression to Advanced Level Apprenticeship in the longer term.

Hours:  37.5 hours/week.

Pay:  £139.50/week.

Job Requirements

GCSE A-C grades, English, Mathematics or equivalent. Able to communicate (written and verbally) with the ability to develop good working relationships with internal staff and external third parties. Listening 
and telephone handling skills required.  Ability to communicate with staff at all levels. The ability to work well within a team is essential, along with the ability to seek guidance from senior staff where necessary. Able to work within a team.  A can do attitude.  Must be patient, courteous and able to work to your own initiative. Show respect for others and be diplomatic when dealing with people.   A 'people' person with professional and flexible attitude.

Job Description

To work for a professional ice hockey association, located in Sheffield 12.  An apprentice is required to help out with merchandising.   Duties will include helping back room staff, geting merchandise ready, setting up merchandise stalls and organising stock.  This role will also involve serving customers on match days helping to take down the stalls and pack away remaining stock.  The key responsibilities to the role will include:  

- Assisting with the online orders and telephone orders.
- Ensuring orders are mailed out.
- On match days the role will be very varied.
- Assisting with all aspects of merchandising.
- Setting up stalls.
- Serving customers
- Taking down stalls and packing away
 

Training: Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Customer Service.  The learning provider is Sheffield College.

Hours: Basic hours 30 hours 9am - 3pm, Mon to Fri including 1 day/week at Sheffield City College. Will be required to some weekend match days, so Mon - Fri hours may change as a result of this.  

Pay:  £105/week.

Job Requirements

4 GCSE's at A-D Must include English Language and Maths or equivalent.  Own transport preferred.  Good communication skills and an outgoing personality.  Well presented due to nature of the job.  Must have the ability to multi task and to work to deadlines.   Must be adaptable and flexible in your working pattern.

This is an opportunity to gain real work experience to help you to move onto an apprenticeship or into work.  Depending upon your interests, you will be based in either the retail or business administration sector.  Time will be spent in a high quality work experience placement and with The Source Skills Academy at Meadowhall.  On the programme you will also cover work placement preparation, CV writing and interview practice.  At the end of the programme you will have the chance to be linked to real vacancies with a guaranteed job or exit interview too.

This programme is aimed at 16-18 year olds who require skills and work experience needed to find an apprenticeship or a job.  Learners will receive lots of support and have the chance to gain qualifications. The programme will include job search and a work experience placement that is designed to support learners into employment or apprenticeship opportunities. The learner will receive support and guidance from an Employment Engagement Officer who will source an appropriate work placement.   Additional job seeking support will be provided such as:  CV completion, cover letters, application support, access to internet/email, interview preparation plus advice and guidance throughout the programme.  CTS are located in Sheffield city centre.

Training: Vocational qualifications are offered in a range of subject areas: 

Level 1 Certificate in Health and Social Care

Level 1 Certificate in Caring for Children

Level 1 Certificate in Retail Knowledge

Level 1 Certificate in Public Services*

Level 1 Certificate Employability and Personal Development

Level 1 Certificate in Personal and Social Development.

Learners who do not have a GCSE A*-C in English and Maths to work towards a Functional Skill qualification in English and Maths at the right level for the learner (up to Level 2).  Functional skills qualifications are available in:  English (Entry 1 – Level 2), Maths (Entry 1 – Level 2), ICT (Entry 3 – Level 2) and ESOL (Entry 1 – Entry 3).

Hours:  Minimum of 12 hours/week for between 12 to 52 weeks to be agreed with each learner on an individual basis.

The Study Programme has been designed to help you move forward with your future career.  EVERYONE'S PROGRAMME IS DIFFERENT!   You will have the chance to gain hands on experience in the work place on a work experience placement.  In addition you can work towards GCSE level English and Maths.  Nacro also offer training in:

Army Preparation – Gain a nationally recognised qualifications in Sport at Level 1 and 2 and improve your fitness based around authentic army fitness sessions and teambuilding exercises.

Motor Vehicle – Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2 courses in Motor Vehicle Maintenance which also offers the chance to work in one of the many garages and workshops Nacro are linked with. Motor Vehicle Traineeships and Apprenticeships coming soon.

Sports and Active Leisure – Gain a Level 1 and 2 qualification in Sport. Whilst building up your knowledge on sports and leisure. Sessions are run in a fully equipped gymnasium and Nacro also run sessions at local sporting venues due to having close links with various South Yorkshire sports clubs.

Catering – Gain a range of catering qualifications from Entry Level 3 up to Level 1 and 2.  This will help to set you on your way for a career in the hospitality industry. We have some of the best work placements available in Sheffield where you will be tutored by Michelin starred chefs.

Retail & Customer Service - Gain a Customer Service level 1 qualification and customer service/retail skills and gain work experience.  Nacro will try to match you with the type retailer that you would like to work with.

Training:  You can work towards Maths and English qualifications and gain vocational qualifications at level 1.  As part of Study Programme you can gain real work experience.

Hours:  Tailored to your individual needs.
