Job Description

To work at a company, located in Sheffield 2, which installs energy smart meters in homes and businesses. Due to growth, the business is now looking to take on an apprentice to help with the day to day operations.  The apprentice will work as part of a small team in a call centre environment. Will book appointments with engineers, allocate serial numbers to engineers, deal with telephone enquiries from clients, and assist with administration duties such as inputting data and organising files.

Genuine career prospects, the employer is looking for an apprentice who will learn all aspects of the business and become a valued member of the team.

Training: Customer Service Intermediate Level Apprenticeship.  The learning provider will be organised by Skills Made Easy.

Hours:  40 hours/week.

Pay: £2.73 per hour (£109.20/week based on 40 hours).

Job Requirements

Must be reliable, well-organised and thorough. Must be confident, punctual and professional. They must be adaptable, resilient and willing to learn. Above all, they must have excellent communication skills.

Job Description

To work at the UK's leading independent dust and fume extraction system specialist, located in Mexborough, S64.You will be employed within the sales team and will carry out business to business sales to small to medium sized companies.  You will proactively engage and convert from prospect to sale, you will also be responsible for updating the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.

Training:  Intermediate Level Apprenticeship including Level 2 Sales and Telesales and Level 2 Certificate in Principles in Business.  The learning provider is Brinsworth Training.

Hours:  37.5 hours/week.

Pay:  £2.73/hour (£102/week based on 37.5 hours/week).

Job Requirements

GCSE at grade D or above, or equivalent, in maths and English.  Will need to be confident. Driven, self- motivated and have good attention to detail. In addition to this you must be keen to apply your current skills, whilst taking the opportunity to learn, develop and achieve above average results and remuneration in a competitive marketplace. Should be enthusiastic, creative, persuasive, talkative and a sociable team player.  Must be able to get to and from the workplace located in the Mexborough area.

Job Description

Get into Retail aims to provide young people with the necessary vocational skills and a mixture of practical training and hands-on experience, that will enable them to get a job. Placements are in Sheffield, Crystal Peaks, Ecclesall Road; Rotherham and Barnsley

During the 4-week programme, young people will have the opportunity to:

Gain in-depth training in the retail industry by completing work experience with Marks & Spencer.
Learn about stock rotation and control, good customer service and selling skills.
Improve their teamwork and communication skills and boost their confidence, interview skills and their CV at the same time.
Receive up to six months of support after the programme to help them find a job..

Training: As outlined above.

Hours: The course will run for 4 weeks from Monday 27th July until Friday 21st August 2015. Expect the hours to be 10am - 4pm, Mon - Fri. Taster Day Thursday 23rd July.

Incentives: Travel and lunch expenses provided for the whole programme. 

Job Requirements

The programme is available to 16 - 25 year olds living in the Sheffield and surrounding areas who are currently not in employment, education or training. Must be genuinely interested in a career in retail.

Job Description

To work at a craft café, located in Sheffield 11.  You will be working as part of a small team.  Duties will include making hot and cold drinks, serving cakes and other refreshments to a wide range of visitors.  Will explain to customers about different creative options on offer.   In addition, you will be able to demonstrate to and help customers to paint and stencil pots, make a mosaic or to get involved with paper crafts.   

Training:  Retail Intermediate Level Apprenticeship, the duration is 12 months.  The learning provider is Babington Business College.

Hours:  Full time for no more than 40 hours/week, will work 5 days a week including Saturdays and possibly Sundays.

Pay:  £2.73/hour.  Staff discounts available.

Job Requirements

Must have a good standard of education, with good numeracy and literacy skills.  It is very important that applicants are creative and enjoy art and craft activities.  Should be a good communicator with a friendly manner.

Job Description

To work for a professional ice hockey association, located in Sheffield 12.  An apprentice is required to help out with merchandising.   Duties will include helping back room staff, geting merchandise ready, setting up merchandise stalls and organising stock.  This role will also involve serving customers on match days helping to take down the stalls and pack away remaining stock.  The key responsibilities to the role will include:  

- Assisting with the online orders and telephone orders.
- Ensuring orders are mailed out.
- On match days the role will be very varied.
- Assisting with all aspects of merchandising.
- Setting up stalls.
- Serving customers
- Taking down stalls and packing away
 

Training: Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Customer Service.  The learning provider is Sheffield College.

Hours: Basic hours 30 hours 9am - 3pm, Mon to Fri including 1 day/week at Sheffield City College. Will be required to some weekend match days, so Mon - Fri hours may change as a result of this.  

Pay:  £105/week.

Job Requirements

4 GCSE's at A-D Must include English Language and Maths or equivalent.  Own transport preferred.  Good communication skills and an outgoing personality.  Well presented due to nature of the job.  Must have the ability to multi task and to work to deadlines.   Must be adaptable and flexible in your working pattern.
