Job Description

If the answer is yes, then please read further!  Established for 40 years, this successful business based in the S4 area of Sheffield, is looking to recruiting a Marketing apprentice to join their growing team.  Main duties and responsibilities:
- Updating new and existing client spreadsheets and data inputting.
- Updating and uploading content to online websites.
- Graphics/DTP (Desktop Publishing).
- Production of Sales Offer Sheets.
- Assisting with Catalogue production.
- Photography of products and image editing for website / catalogues.
- Using work creative software packages such as Coral Draw / Photoshop / Microsoft Publisher.
- Support with both internal and external communication.
- General administration duties.

Training:  The successful candidate will study a Marketing Level 2 or 3 NVQ. This will be aided by an Assessor who will carry out all assessment as work based learning, within the workplace. Dependent on previous qualifications, the learner will also complete Functional Skills in Maths, English and I.T., in addition to a Technical Certificate.  The learning provider is The Source Skills Academy.

Hours:  Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm

Pay:  £109.20/week (£2.73/hour).

Job Requirements

The successful candidate must be computer literate, have a strong work ethic and an ability to work using their own initiative.  Must have strong verbal skills, be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team, able to pay a good level of attention to detail, computer literate and able to work to deadlines.

Job Description

This is an opportunity to gain real work experience to help you to move onto an apprenticeship or into work.  Depending upon your interests, you will be based in either the retail or business administration sector.  Time will be spent in a high quality work experience placement and with The Source Skills Academy at Meadowhall.  On the programme you will also cover work placement preparation, CV writing and interview practice.  At the end of the programme you will have the chance to be linked to real vacancies with a guaranteed job or exit interview too.

 

Training:  Level 1/2 WorkSkills qualification depending on previous learning/assessment. Will also be able to improve your Maths and English skills –various levels are available depending on the requirements of the learner.

Hours:  Full time (minimum of 22.5 hours/week).  The duration of the Traineeship is minimum of 6 weeks up to maximum of 6 months.

Incentives:  Travel and lunch included.  Bursary available to eligible learners.  Additional incentives are available upon completion of key objectives.

Job Description

This programme is aimed at 16-18 year olds who require skills and work experience needed to find an apprenticeship or a job.  Learners will receive lots of support and have the chance to gain qualifications. The programme will include job search and a work experience placement that is designed to support learners into employment or apprenticeship opportunities. The learner will receive support and guidance from an Employment Engagement Officer who will source an appropriate work placement.   Additional job seeking support will be provided such as:  CV completion, cover letters, application support, access to internet/email, interview preparation plus advice and guidance throughout the programme.  CTS are located in Sheffield city centre.

Training: Vocational qualifications are offered in a range of subject areas: 

Level 1 Certificate in Health and Social Care

Level 1 Certificate in Caring for Children

Level 1 Certificate in Retail Knowledge

Level 1 Certificate in Public Services*

Level 1 Certificate Employability and Personal Development

Level 1 Certificate in Personal and Social Development.

Learners who do not have a GCSE A*-C in English and Maths to work towards a Functional Skill qualification in English and Maths at the right level for the learner (up to Level 2).  Functional skills qualifications are available in:  English (Entry 1 – Level 2), Maths (Entry 1 – Level 2), ICT (Entry 3 – Level 2) and ESOL (Entry 1 – Entry 3).

Hours:  Minimum of 12 hours/week for between 12 to 52 weeks to be agreed with each learner on an individual basis.

Incentives:  Depending upon eligibility will receive concessionary travel pass, 16 - 18 Bursary Fund for costs associated towards training e.g. interview clothes/travel.  Applications for lunch vouchers will be considered.

Job Description

The Study Programme has been designed to help you move forward with your future career.  EVERYONE'S PROGRAMME IS DIFFERENT!   You will have the chance to gain hands on experience in the work place on a work experience placement.  In addition you can work towards GCSE level English and Maths.  Nacro also offer training in:

Army Preparation – Gain a nationally recognised qualifications in Sport at Level 1 and 2 and improve your fitness based around authentic army fitness sessions and teambuilding exercises.

Motor Vehicle – Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2 courses in Motor Vehicle Maintenance which also offers the chance to work in one of the many garages and workshops Nacro are linked with. Motor Vehicle Traineeships and Apprenticeships coming soon.

Sports and Active Leisure – Gain a Level 1 and 2 qualification in Sport. Whilst building up your knowledge on sports and leisure. Sessions are run in a fully equipped gymnasium and Nacro also run sessions at local sporting venues due to having close links with various South Yorkshire sports clubs.

Catering – Gain a range of catering qualifications from Entry Level 3 up to Level 1 and 2.  This will help to set you on your way for a career in the hospitality industry. We have some of the best work placements available in Sheffield where you will be tutored by Michelin starred chefs.

Retail & Customer Service - Gain a Customer Service level 1 qualification and customer service/retail skills and gain work experience.  Nacro will try to match you with the type retailer that you would like to work with.

Training:  You can work towards Maths and English qualifications and gain vocational qualifications at level 1.  As part of Study Programme you can gain real work experience.

Hours:  Tailored to your individual needs. 

Incentives:  Free travel.  Bursary of £25/week - £40/week available depending upon circumstances. Extras: NACRO have a heavily subsidised canteen and offer a free breakfast (tea/coffee and toast). Also offer a free lunch to learners on the induction week. There is a free on site gym and other provision to improve fitness levels.

Job Description

An IT support company, located in Sheffield 2 are seeking an Apprentice to join their team.  The individual would be responsible for the administration processes involved with the sale of IT services and solutions offered through the company portfolio.    The Apprentice will report to the Sales & Solutions Manager.

Primary duties:
- Make sales calls and write up prospective customers within the internal CRM system and dairies.
- Make existing and new client follow-up calls where required.
- Maintain contact with customers via telephone and email communication.
- Support the sales team to develop and grow customer base.
- Support customer base queries around sales solutions.
- Stock control.
- Develop strong working relationship with existing and new client base.
- Become a resource to customers by keeping them informed about new products and services - this includes product renewals.
- Produce quotes for solutions sold by sales team, allocating engineers to this work accordingly. 
- Additional duties, as assigned.

Training:  Business Administration Apprenticeship.  The learning provider is Red Tape Central.

Hours:  To be confirmed, between 30 - 40 hours/week.

Pay:  £2.68/hour, rising to £2.73/hour.

Job Requirements

Computer knowledge of Windows based system desirable.  Assertive, outgoing and confident.  Strong customer service and communication skills.  Self-motivated, with problem solving abilities and negotiation skills. Must be able to work independently/on your own.
