Sheffeld Futures offers a number of services for adults to help them find suitable employment, education or training opportunities as well as offering help and support with other aspects of their lives.

Drop In Service

We operate a drop in service for adults living or working in Sheffield, as part of the National Careers Service.

Our specialist advisers are able to spend up to 20 minutes with you when you drop in to Star House for an initial discussion about your circumstances and needs relating to learning and work.

We can typically offer:

  • advice about the routes which may be open to you
  • signposting to other local services
  • access to our resource base for further information

Adult Careers Service

We also offer information and advice to help adults with:

  • Returning to work or education
  • Looking at your skills, hobbies and interests
  • Job hunting skills – like CV writing and interview techniques
  • Coping with redundancy
  • Finding funding for study
  • Career change
  • Self employment
