Doing Good Business (DGB) is Building Better Opportunities programme funded through Big Lottery and European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England.  It is an enterprise and employment support project covering the Sheffield City Region for unemployed and economically inactive people aimed at moving them into, or closer to, the labour market. The project launched in October 2016 and will run until October 2018.

The programme has to date been delivered by two partners, however, due to demand we are now seeking to procure additional delivery from suitably qualified organisations in the South Yorkshire area.

We are looking for organisations who can deliver a personalised coaching service for up to 20 to people aged 25 and over, who have a right to work in the UK and are economically inactive leading to employment or education outcomes. We apply the following definition to economically inactive – not in work, not in receipt of Jobseeker Allowance or Jobseeker related Universal Credit. Clients may be in receipt of ESA or ESA related Universal Credit, pension, be in education or have no income and be dependent on partner / family. Each client should have a dedicated coach who will guide that client through their individual and personal journey. Clients can be supported by a Barrier Busting Budget to enable them to access work and support. Client journeys should lead to one of the following outcomes:

  • Into work
  • Into self-employment including sole trader or business start up
  • Into set up of social enterprise or CIC.
  • Jobseekers and economically inactive into Education
  • Economically inactive into job search

UPDATE: The deadline for this opportunity has now passed.
