To work for a growing business which specialise in providing boxes and crates for the steel manufacturing industry and can also make bespoke boxes and cases.  The employer is located in Rotherham, S60.

Duties will include:

–  Operating equipment (including different types of saws).

–  General housekeeping.

–  Loading and unloading deliveries.

–  Packing and labelling orders.

–  Cutting timber to specific sizes, which would read from a Customer Job Card.

–  Sourcing correct materials ready for production.

–  Ensuring jobs are correctly marked, have the correct quantity and are ready for despatch.

–  Ensuring customer deadlines are met.

–  Maintaining stock levels on certain components.


Requirements:  Good standard of Maths and English.  Must be able to use a tape measure and have a good understanding of measurement conversations.  Able to pay attention to detail.  Must be motivated, hard working, outgoing, good time keeper, flexible, excellent team work skills and reliable.


Training:  The successful candidate will study a Level 2 qualification in Performing Manufacturing Operations. The training provider is TAGadvance.


Hours:  To be confirmed, expected to be 39 hours/week. Mon-Thur (7:30am – 4.00pm) and Fri (7:00am – 2.00pm).


Pay:  £3.70/hour (approx. £144.30/week based on 39 hours/week).
