To work for a company, located in Barnsley S71, who create bespoke racking repair systems for the retail industry.

Do you enjoy working as part of team? Is providing excellent customer service important to you? If so this business administration apprenticeship will teach you everything you need to know about how to support a thriving Business Development team.

As part of your Apprenticeship you’ll learn how to support the Business Development team in all areas of administration. You’ll learn to:

– Answer the phone and emails in a professional manner for the Business Development Team.

– Act on all job enquiries, allocating a job number from the quotation book, printing out and prepare a project file to pass to the Business Development team.

– Prepare job quotation files for customer visits undertaken by the Business Development Managers.

– Use computerised quotation systems, entering information on the quote book ensuring Business Development Managers have all available information in order for them to prepare a quotation in an effective and efficient manner.

– Maintain and update the quote book ensuring all information is current and correct.

– Proof read your work before sending to customers ensuring pricing and quantities are accurate and then send using e-mail and update the quote book.

– Assist the Business Development Managers in the preparation of ASDA’s balance score card using information taken from quotations.

– Record successful quotations and ensure that the file is updated and passed to the project live department.

– Ensure paperwork is kept correct, completed and stored within the file.

– Prepare all customer specific reports, i.e. ASDA/City Facilities, along with required balance score cards is an effective and efficient manner in order to satisfy the KPI’s

– Send annual reminders for customer safety inspections using our computerized system.

– Follow up on quotations and feedback to team.

– Take minutes in meetings, distribute to attendees and compiling the action plan ready for any subsequent meeting.

– File data and perform other routine administrative tasks as assigned and for other departments as needed.

 

Requirements:  Three GCSE passes grade 3/D or above (or equivalent) are essential, to include maths and English.  Ability to work confidentially and professionally.  Need to be a team player, with good attendance and punctuality.  Willing and keen to learn through the Apprenticeship training.  Good ICT skills including Microsoft Office.  Well organised with a close attention to detail.  Good communicator and team player.

 

Training:  The successful candidate will work towards a Level 2 in Business and Administration. This will be aided by an assessor who will carry out all assessments as work-based learning within the workplace.

 

Hours: 40 hours/week.

 

Pay:  £176.00/week.
