To work at a nursery located in Sheffield S35.  Roles and responsibilities will include:

– Meeting and greeting parents and children at the nursery

– Making sure all children are safe and treated equally

– Participating in activities with the children e.g. reading, numeracy, literacy activities

– Communicate with parents/families to help to encourage the child

– To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained

– Assisting at snack and mealtimes

– Outdoor play


Requirements: No formal qualifications are required for this role, although GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-3 (or equivalent) in maths and English would be a distinct advantage.  Passionate about a career in childcare and keen to learn and develop.  Must have a caring and mature attitude.  Will need a professional demeanour and will need to be empathetic.  Must have good team working skills and an enthusiastic attitude. Good communication skills and listening skills.  Basic knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety.  Good time keeping skills required.


Training:  Level 2 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce.    Functional skills in English and maths (if applicable).


Hours: Monday – Friday, between the hours of 7:15am – 6:00pm on a rota. 40 hours/week.


Pay:  £148/week.
