To work at a Primary School located in Chesterfield.  The employer is seeking an apprentice in order to provide some extra support within the school. The successful apprentice would work with children from EYFS as well as Y3 SEN children.


Requirements: GCSE English & Maths – grade C (4) or above.

Likes children and is sympathetic to the individual needs of children depending upon their family circumstance and background.

Sympathetic to the ethos of the Church of England and willing to promote this with the children.

Well organised with effective behaviour management.

Enthusiastic and flexible.

A willingness to share ideas and contribute to the development of the whole school

Is a good communicator.

Willing and able to take on new ideas and initiatives.

Enjoys working as a team player.

Ability to plan effectively, to assess pupil progress and keep effective records.

Confident, good listener, good communication skills and punctual.


Training:  The successful apprentice will be enrolled onto an intermediate apprenticeship and Level 2 childcare qualification. All training is 100% work based, so this is a great way to learn if you no longer want to sit in a classroom. You have a dedicated Interserve Assessor who will give training, support and guidance throughout your apprenticeship.  The learning provider is Interserve Learning & Employment.


Hours:  Full time, 30 hours/week.


Pay:  £124.50/week.
