The six week Get into Health and Social Care programme at Chesterfield Royal Hospital give you the opportunity to train, take part in work experience and get a fast track qualification in care.  You will work with patients as a member of the Healthcare Assistants team, gaining real life experience on the wards.

– The chance to be interviewed for a paid role upon completion of the course.

– Gain up to 6 months of mentoring support.


Requirements:  16 – 30 years of age and not in employment, education or training.  Motivated and interested in health and social care, and committed to completing the programme. You will need to be able to work shifts between 7am – 7pm and be comfortable with providing personal care to patients.  Able to travel to the programme (travel costs are covered).  You will need to attend a taster day on Monday 10th February 2020.


Training:  As outlined above.  The programme is based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Calow, Chesterfield.


Hours: Full time from 24th February to 3rd April 2020.


Incentives:  Free programme.  The course does not affect benefits.  Reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed when on the programme.
