Meet new people and improve your skills by working on a group challenge like building, testing and battling robots!

Not only will it help you discover new talents and develop new skills, but you’ll also benefit from support from The Prince’s Trust staff or one of their mentors to help you uncover your next steps.

Get Started with Robotics is a free programme where you will get the chance to:

–  Work with Roaming Robots – the team behind Robot Wars Live Tour!

– Design and build your own robot then battle it out on the arena floor.

– Experience the power and strength of the heavy weight robots made famous through the TV programme.

–  Have the opportunity to learn about the technology and engineering behind these amazing machines.

–  Meet new people and improve your communication and teamwork skills.

The Prince’s Trust will assist participants to progress through 3 months post-programme support to help you to move into a positive activity after the programme.

–  Up to 3 months mentoring support after the programme to help you to uncover your next steps.

 

Requirements:  Aged 16 – 25, not in education, employment or training with an interest in robotics, creating, designing and battling robots.  You’ll need to attend a taster day on Wednesday 14th November 2018.

 

Training:  As outlined above, plus you’ll gain a Level 1 qualification in Robotics.

 

Hours:  Monday full time for 1 week.  Monday 19th November to Friday 23rd November 2018.

 

Incentives:  Free course.  Doesn’t affect benefits.  Public transport travel expenses are paid on the programme.
