The job will be based with a company which provides IT support services, located in Sheffield S6.  Your main roles and responsibilities will include:

– Working an industry standard ticketing and monitoring system.

– Remotely supporting workstations.

– Spotting the need for, suggesting and undertaking projects.

– Adhering to SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

– Building and maintaining relationships with clients.

– Taking ownership of client issues and following through a solution to the end.

– Prioritising support requests and allocating resources to fulfil those requests.


Requirements:  To be considered for this you should have at least grade C/4 or above in maths and English and in 3 or 4 other subjects.  You should have a GCSE/BTEC/A Level in ICT or at least hands on experience with the workings of computers and IT.  Must be enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a genuine desire to learn and to build a career within the IT industry.  Will need to have a friendly personality, be able to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.  Will need to be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, a brilliant telephone manner and fantastic customer care.  Must be willing to work hard and be eager to learn.  Will need to be flexible, adaptable, possess the ability to multitask and have good interpersonal skills.  Must be a self-motivated solution finder with the ability to keep accurate records and to think logically.  You must have good attention to detail.


Training:  You will be enrolled onto the award winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation within a virtual classroom, as well as real world and practical experience with your employer.  You will work towards gaining skills across a variety of technical areas including Cloud Technologies and Network Fundamentals.  This will extend also business processes and project management.  You will also have the opportunity to gain some globally recognised Microsoft certifications. The learning provider is Intequal.


Hours:  Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5.30pm.


Pay:  £160/week.
