37 hours per week 1.0 FTE

Salary: £18,870 per annum

Sheffield Futures is a dynamic, independent charity, supporting communities and helping young people, particularly the vulnerable, to achieve their full potential in learning, employment and life. Legacy 6 is an innovative new 1 year programme extending activity from the 5 year Talent Match Sheffield City Region programme for unemployed young people aged 18-24 who are furthest from the labour market. They experience a variety of complex issues including mental and physical health, learning difficulties, care responsibilities and personal and social needs. The programme is structured to support young people to move closer to the labour market and into sustainable employment wherever possible. Funded by the Big Lottery and operating in partnership to cover Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Bolsover, the project comes to an end in December 2019.

We are looking for an experienced full time administrator to provide efficient and effective support to internal and external customers and partners of the Sheffield Futures’ Legacy 6 programme. The administrator will help to develop systems for quality, finance and communication and use these to record data ensuring entries are accurate and timely. You will be required to produce quality documents, support partnership events and utilise a variety of methods to share quality communications tools with clients, partners and stakeholders including contacting online and through social media. Customer service is a key part of this role and you will respond effectively and professionally to all enquiries, understand the needs of customers from diverse backgrounds.

The successful candidate must be qualified to Level 3 in Business Administration and hold a Level 2 ICT qualification. You will have a good understanding of administrative procedures and systems, and knowledge of the Third Sector and its role in programme delivery. An understanding of quality and performance considerations is also essential. You will have experience of using information to create reports and monitor performance and have an understanding of data protection, data security, confidentiality and Safeguarding. The successful candidate must be IT literate in Microsoft Office with a high level of accuracy and close attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills and experience of providing advice and information with customers over the telephone is required and will enable the successful candidate to communicate and build relationships with a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
