Juniper Training are a friendly training provider located very close to central Chesterfield.  The Study Programme with Juniper Training offers a flexible programme which can be tailored to your needs.  You will have the chance to gain, or improve your qualifications, to work on skills for the world of work including CV building, interview techniques, communication and confidence and gain work experience in the occupational area of your interest with an employer.


Vocational qualifications are available in:

Business Administration


Customer Service/Retail


Juniper will work with you to help you to progress into an apprenticeship, further education or employment.


Requirements:  16 – 18 (or aged 16 – 24 with a current Education and Health Care Plan).  The Study Programme may be of interest if you are wanting to gain additional skills and qualifications to prepare you for your next steps, or if you are unsure of what career choice to make, or are clear on the career that you want but need some support to access it.


Training:  Depending upon which route you take on the Study Programme you could gain BTEC Level 1 or 2 in Work Skills. You could also gain a vocational qualification in Business Administration Level 1 and 2, Customer Service Level 1 and 2 or Childcare Level 2.   You will be able to work on your maths and English Functional Skills.  If you already have grade 3/D GCSE, or equivalent, in maths and/or English you will have the chance to work on improving your grade/s.


Hours:  Full time, over 29 weeks.  Hours on programme may vary depending upon your tailor made programme.


Incentives:  Students may receive a bursary when on the programme, subject to meeting with eligibility criteria.  Bursaries can be used to cover travel costs, free meal voucher, interview clothes and personal protective equipment.  Where students are assessed as not being eligible for bursary Juniper will pay 50% of the students weekly travel costs on public transport.
