This is a fantastic opportunity to work for the leading provider of regeneration services in the UK. The company designs, builds, refurbishes and maintains homes, buildings and the facilities, places and spaces that support communities. You will work alongside a construction project team, working on a large new build project in Sheffield 2.  The Apprentice will be site based and may be required to travel by their own means within the area.

Key responsibilities:

– To assist and carry out project defined work to a high standard as directed by the Site Manager.

– To work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures.

– Material co-ordination.

– Ensuring site diary is kept and maintained.

– Conducting site inspections.

– Attending meetings with the site team and other external parties where required.

– Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site based documentation.


Requirements:  Key attributes – professional attitude and approach to work, polite and courteous, self motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable, good communicator, ability to work both alone and as part of a team, reliable.

Please note that although the employer has not stated any qualification requirements, Higher Apprenticeship applicants for similar roles will normally have completed either an Advanced Apprenticeship in Construction – Level 3 or other construction sector related Level 3 qualifications or have at least 2 A Levels or will have significant prior experience of work in the construction sector.


Training:  The successful candidate will complete a Higher Apprenticeship working towards the standard of the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 4 in Construction and the Built Environment.


Hours:  39 hours/week.


Pay:  £14,000/annum.
