Sheffield United Community Foundation are recruiting for a new traineeship programme.  The aim is to develop your skills and knowledge within the industry and to open the door to opportunities in the sport industry in the longer term.  You will spend the majority of your time assisting a lead coach with sports coaching in a school, community base or holiday camp.  In addition to gaining lots of work experience, you will also concentrate on developing your employability skills and will have the chance to improve your maths and English skills.

Requirements:  16 – 23 years of age, not in full time education and hold a qualification at level 2 or below.  Must be committed to the traineeship with a genuine interest in working in the sport industry.

Training:  As outlined above. Will complete work experience and will attend a classroom session for around one day per week.  Can work towards Functional Skills, Level 1 Coaching Award (awarding body will be either FA or NCFE) and employability qualifications.

Hours:  Full time for 12 weeks minimum, up to a maximum of 6 months.

Incentives:   A bursary is available to eligible traineeship students.  Check with Sheffield United Community Foundation for more information.
