There are a wide range of different volunteering roles on offer with British Heart Foundation and if you would like to try several different roles within the store then the British Heart Foundation can tailor the experience to suit you.

The types of roles on offer include:

– Customer Service

– Cash Desk

– Warehouse

– Store Merchandiser

– Department Volunteer

– Electrical Function Tester

– Homeware

– Online Listing

– Volunteer Recruiter

– Restorer / Repairer

– Stock Generation


The British Heart Foundation have Furniture & Electrical Stores in Sheffield City Centre and Crystal Peaks.  There is a Home Store located in Hillsborough.


Requirements:  Open to 16+.  You don’t need any experience as you will receive all of the support and training you need and there are different roles to suit everyone.


Training:  You will receive a full induction and further training in specific roles.


Hours:  Minimum of 2 hours/week commitment, in order to get the most out of the volunteering 3-4 hours/week is recommended.


Incentives:  No minimum time is required for volunteering, but reasonable travel costs are reimbursed if you volunteer for two hours or more.
