National Careers Week: Inspirational careers events, advice & guidance from Sheffield Futures

Sadie White No Comment

A series of events were hosted here at Star House for young people looking for careers inspiration, advice and guidance during National Careers Week 5-9 March.

Whether young people wanted to find out about options for the future from leading local engineering industry employer Gripple, be inspired by our inspirational female role models and ambassadors, or gain expert careers advice and guidance and polish their CV, Star House was a hive of activity during the week.

Thank you to Tom at Gripple who’s natural enthusiasm and motivation for design engineering shone through and inspired such enthusiasm and questions from our young people in attendance.

Door43 hosted a special Wellbeing Café with inspirational female role model and Sheffield Futures’ ambassador, sports journalist Liz Byrnes and Really NEET Project’s Sophie Maxwell. These two inspirational women talked about the journey to achieving their career aspirations.

How you can help

Our charity is dedicated to helping Sheffield's young people to reach their full potential and achieve the best out of life, whatever their starting point. To help us to do more to support young people and communities we need your help. Just remember, every penny you donate will make a difference.
