Are you 18-25 and interested in the film industry?

In collaboration with Goons Production, and with facilities provided by Sheffield Hallam University and Showroom Cinema, Sheffield Futures’ Young Advisors are pleased to announce the launch of their free film school to help 18-25 year olds gain first-hand experience in the film industry. The course will run every Saturday from 30th March – 4th May, kicking off with an intro talk on Saturday 16th March.

Participants will get the opportunity to write, produce, direct, shoot, and edit their own short film using industry-grade equipment and software, with guidance from industry professionals every step of the way. The film will even get credited on IMDB!

No experience is required and we offer a relaxed application process, starting with an informal chat. We’re just looking for an interest in film, a can-do attitude, and the ability to meet the time commitment required to complete the full course.

Deadline for application: 14th February 2024

Interviews will be held the week commencing 19th February
