Careers Advice

Thinking about what to do in the big, wide world after you leave school can be a scary and confusing time. Everyone has an opinion about what you should or shouldn’t be doing, which makes it hard to focus on what you really want for your future.

Sheffield Futures is here to support you with your plans and dreams after you have left school.

We can help in a number of different ways:

Drop into Star House and chat to one of our members of staff. They will listen to your ideas and thoughts and guide you to explore options that are right for you. We can help you with:

  • Apprenticeships
  • Job hunting
  • Training
  • Employment opportunities
  • Benefits advice for under 18s.

Have a look at What’s On at Sheffield Futures for more information about drop-in sessions. If you are struggling to find your way after leaving school our Community Youth Teams can point you in the right direction. We have specialist advisors who can help with finding work or study and can also tell you about youth clubs and activities you could get involved with. Please call freephone 0800 138 8381 to speak to someone about your situation.

Our Adult Careers Service is free and staffed by qualified Careers Advisers. Open to adults aged 19 and above. Book in for a confidential 1:1 appointment: come to the Job Shop at Star House or call in to see us at Bailey Court Job Centre where we are most days.
