Meet Nathan: Running for Sheffield Futures at the Sheffield Half Marathon
After taking on the Sheffield 10K for us last year, Nathan is stepping up to the challenge once again, this time at the Sheffield Half Marathon! A proud Sheffielder with strong ties to the local community, he’s passionate about creating equal opportunities for young people across the city. We spoke to Nathan about his motivation, training and what fundraising for Sheffield Futures means to him.
Our Green Commitments
Being an environmentally-friendly organisation is incredibly important to Sheffield Futures; the next generation are facing an increasing burden of dealing with climate crisis which disproportionately affects disadvantaged communities. As an organisation that exists to nurture the next generation, it is imperative that we do our part to protect the environment.
Creating Opportunities and Building Confidence: A Look Back at Our Summer Jobs Programme
This August, we were delighted to welcome 20 young people to take part in the Summer Jobs Programme, a six-week paid work experience scheme designed to build confidence in young people who are at risk of violence. By offering structured, supported – and importantly, paid - work opportunities, the programme aimed to empower young people to take positive steps towards their future.

Sheffield Futures is pleased to announce two new partnerships with Sheffield’s Community Youth Hubs, running from now until March 2026, funded by South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (SYICB) as part of the Health and Growth Accelerator under South Yorkshire’s Pathways to Work system.
